i cant love you anymore is the first single by hard working soul performer carlton jumel smith recorded with cold diamond & mink, and the man has revealed his middle name just for the occasion. otherwise known simply as carlton j. smith, theres no doubt he has swallowed a large pill of soul since seeing james brown live at the apollo theatre as an 8-year old. smiths timmion debut single sinks him into drum heavy southern flavored deep soul, a style that comes out of him naturally as water from a mountain spring. backing him up on the falsetto parts is pratt, who recently turned some heads with his pratt & moody release lost lost lost on stylart records, and together the two basically nail it. when looking for artists, who just seem to move through time effortlessly with a steady air of confidence, passion and precision, one might pick up the phone and give cjs a call. even though his discography of couple of late 2000s albums and some guest spots in early 90s soulful house 12inches is a bit mysterious, there seems to be not one bit of difficulty to his craft or personality. as a recording artist, i cant love you anymore is a new opening into raw soul territory, and it is just what the world needs today. he laid down an album worth of tracks on his last helsinki visit, and this might be something to look forward to.

panic! at the disco präsentieren 2017 ein reissue ihres debütalbums »a fever you can’t sweat out«, und zwar auf vinyl.
das album erschien ursprünglich bereits am 27. september 2005, und zwar beim label decaydance records von fallout-boy-gründer pete wentz. dieser hatte zuvor demos der band gehört und nahm sie unter vertrag, noch bevor sie jemals live performt hatte.
aufgenommen wurden die 13 songs von »a fever you can’t sweat out« in den somd! studios in college park, maryland. für die produktion zeichnete matt squire (good charlotte, the used, taking back sunday) verantwortlich.
das album wurde ein kommerzieller erfolg. die zweite singleauskopplung »i write sins not tragedies« schaffte es in den usa bis in die top 10 der charts.

it’s not very widely known but, when he’s not digging for other people’s music to play out at the party, mister harkin spends a good deal of his time in the studio making some of his own. up to now, those efforts have made their way onto records for the always on point argot imprint in chicago and nyc’s own throne of blood. and although he’s djed at almost 250 mister saturday night & sunday parties since we got going in 2009, this is his debut release on the label. it’s made up of three spaciously sculpted club scorchers, ripe and ready for the power hour, and we’re super stoked to finally be able to share them with you.

wolfram says: i started to record the track cant remember when i was in africa and some riots happened in egypt in 2013. it was a weird time so it turned out to be a dark tune with robotic vocals. i recorded the vocals for the track talking to you when i was on tour with andy butler in the hotel room on my macbook air. basically its him saying this beat is talking to you and i recorded some burp sounds on the flight and train home. i invited him to my home studio to change the demo vocals, but he felt asleep on the chair next to me. so, i thought maybe i should just the use the demo macbook vocals.
